The Bureau of Communication and Computer Services (BCCS) Services Catalog is a vehicle for all state agencies, boards, commissions, universities, offices of the Illinois House and Senate, and Constitutional Officers (collectively referred to as "agencies") to obtain information regarding standard technology products and services.
It is important to understand that the Service Catalog will continually evolve and change over time. You can expect to see some of the services and their attributes, (options, cost, service level, metrics, etc. . .) more fully defined than others within a given version of the catalog. BCCS will communicate planned changes to the Service Catalog identifying new or revised services and their respective attributes.

How to Use the BCCS Services Catalog
Each Service Area within BCCS is defined. This is followed by a description of each service offered.
A section titled "How You Can Help," for example, provides advice on how you can exercise some demand-side management tools to control your bill or improve the experience around the use of the service.
The "What's New" section provides the latest information around new features, enhancements or changes to the service. This is a way for BCCS to keep you informed about recent changes in service or about upcoming events and how that may impact your system.

Catalog Audience
The primary audience are those personnel responsible for, and authorized to, place service orders to CMS. Generally speaking, these people are your IT Coordinators and your Telecom Coordinators.

Catalog Maintenance
Each service represented within the catalog has an assigned CMS owner. Each "Service Owner" is responsible for maintenance of their service catalog pages, planning around their service(s) and assisting the customer with questions and requests for additional technical information.
Service requests submitted to CMS are not limited to the services represented in the catalog. CMS will follow-up and work with our customers on any technology need or challenge. Customer-driven changes to existing services, requests for new services, or custom deployments of existing service offerings are considered on a case-by-case basis.
